Profound Treasury Retreat
September 26–October 5, 2025
Program Start Date & Time: September 26th | 5:30 pm
Program End Date & Time: October 5th | 12:30 pm
“The working basis of meditative practice is the mind. Without mind, without a state of consciousness, one cannot embark on the spiritual path. As far as meditation practice is concerned, the mind is what we are working on. Instead of trying to sort out our usual, daily problems, we are turning inward to the fundamental problem of ‘this’ and ‘that.’ We begin mindfulness practice at the primeval level.”
— Chögyam Trungpa
Buddhists talk about the importance of taming the mind, but what does that really mean? How much do you know about the mind? Have you ever taken a direct look at your own mind? In this retreat, we will explore what Buddhist psychology has discovered about the mind and how it functions, and how that relates to the practice of meditation. We will also learn how to apply a rich array of dharma teachings in order to cultivate more subtlety and depth in our personal meditation practice.
Our retreat is open to both newer and more experienced meditation practitioners. We will study the dharma and practice meditation together in a welcoming and supportive community. Vajrayana students will also have a chance to practice together and to discuss their practice and understanding.
