Visitor & Resident Terms, Conditions & Liability Release
By registering for a program or staying at Drala Mountain Center (the “Center”), I agree to the following terms and conditions and accept the liability release as outlined below:
Liability and Personal Responsibility
I understand that I am registering for a program that may involve activities that create a risk of physical, emotional, and/or psychological harm or injury. I am solely responsible for assessing the risk of any activity I engage in at the Center and for choosing a safe course of action for myself. I assume the risk and responsibility for any injuries or damages suffered by me as a result of my participation in any program.
Medical Conditions and Emergency Medical Care
I am responsible for informing the Center of any medical condition(s) that may affect me while attending a program or being on campus. I acknowledge that the nearest pharmacy and professional medical care is at least an hour away and that it is my responsibility to ensure that I have enough of any medication I may be taking for the entire duration of my stay. I accept full responsibility for my mental and physical well-being while in this environment and have consulted with my healthcare provider about any concerns I have prior to registering for my program.
The Center is not responsible for providing emergency medical care during my visit. If the Center determines that emergency medical services are required for myself or minors under my care, I authorize the Center to arrange such care solely at my own expense.
Children and Childcare
If bringing any minors, I understand that I am fully responsible for the safety and conduct of these children. While the Center may provide supervised childcare at certain times, this does not change my responsibility for minors under my care. More
I am responsible for knowing whether any ingredients to which I am allergic exist in any foods that are prepared by Drala Mountain Center. If I am uncertain about the ingredients of these foods, I am responsible for learning that information from a staff person at the Center who has prepared or overseen the preparation of such food.
Recording Devices and Intellectual Property
The use of recording devices is strictly forbidden during workshops, presentations, special events, conferences, or any other programs at the Center. The rights to such presentations are reserved for the Center and/or the presenter.
I understand that while I am on the Drala Mountain Center campus attending a program or conference, working as a volunteer or staff, or participating in any other event, the Center may take photographs, videos, or audio recordings of me or my voice, including any minors who are under my supervision on the campus. I give my consent that my photograph, likeness, or voice recording may be used for promotional or informational purposes and am due no compensation for such use. Occasionally, a program may have a more specific recording policy.
I understand the Center is not responsible for any damage caused to vehicles while at Drala Mountain Center. I release the Center for any damage done to my vehicle because of rugged terrain, weather, wildlife, other vehicles, and all other sources of damage.
I release the Center, its directors, employees, and representatives from liability for any damages or losses on account of personal injury, whether physical or psychological, up to and including death, to me or my children, or damage to my property suffered from any cause while I am present at the Center. This release does not, however, include injury suffered due to the negligence of the Center.
I understand that abiding by these terms and conditions is a requirement for participating in any program or staying at Drala Mountain Center. Failure to agree to and comply with the Center’s Policies, Terms and Conditions, and Liability Release will prohibit my participation in the program for which I am registered, and all payments made by me for this program will be forfeited. I agree to provide a signed Liability Release to the Guest Services staff upon my arrival, prior to participating in any program.
