Healing with Nature
January 22–25, 2026
Meditation & Mindfulness, On Land Retreats, The Natural World
Program Start Date & Time: January 22nd, 2026 – 5:30 pm Orientation
Program End Date & Time: January 25th, 2026 – 1:30 pm
This nature meditation retreat is designed to support healing through nature-based mindfulness and somatic practices. Trauma often disrupts our inner ecosystems, leading to a dysregulated state that hinders our ability to fully engage in life. By connecting with nature, we can restore balance to our body, mind, and relationships, creating a space for transformation and healing. Mindfulness in nature helps us become more aware, reduce reactivity, and cultivate compassion, while somatic practices in nature enable us to re-inhabit our bodies in a way that feels safe and restorative. This retreat provides the opportunity to reconnect with our true nature, fostering resilience, healing, and a deeper bond with the Earth. This healing with nature retreat we will have the opportunity to deeply connect with the medicine of winter. This is a time to reflect, connect to the Earth’s teachings of stillness, quiet, deep listening in the dark, and emerge into the light of healing that can be felt and known to support the transformation of life. Throughout the retreat, participants will engage in both silent and community-based practices, including nature meditations, reflective journaling, and scenic hikes. These practices will help you explore the transformative potential of nature and somatic healing, providing tools to integrate the insights gained into your daily life. There are no specific meditation or somatic experience requirements for the retreat, and all are welcome with an open heart. However, if you have recently experienced a significant loss or life transition, it may be best to wait before attending, as the retreat involves exploring deep healing from trauma.

“I have had the good fortune to know Rochelle Calvert as a tender-hearted dharma teacher and also as an exceptionally skilled psychologist using connection to the Earth and to one’s own body to heal trauma. Rochelle has demonstrated to me the most precise, perceptive understanding of how past trauma creates long-lasting blockages in my nervous system. She has also guided me with care and gentleness in the process of releasing those blockages. I would especially recommend Rochelle’s retreats to anyone who has deep, unhealed trauma or to anyone who aspires to help other people to heal from trauma. As a dharma teacher, Rochelle’s deep connection to the Earth and all of the Earth’s wisdom is so powerful. She is such a clear messenger for Mother Earth and how all of us can help to heal the traumas that Mother Earth and our more vulnerable humans are currently being subjected to. She is always intentional, soft, gentle and careful. She has the courage to directly face the suffering that we are all witnessing at this moment in time.

“By the time I left the retreat, I could feel my relationship with myself and the natural world shifting. I felt intense moments of clarity as we explored the link between mindfulness, somatic healing, and the natural world. If you feel caught in the chaos of anxiety, stress, and confusion, this is absolutely the retreat for you. From beginning to end, the Healing with Nature retreat was a life-shifting experience.”
