Meditation & Mindfulness, Yoga & Wellness

You’ve traveled, studied, and built a life. You’ve pushed your limits and cared for others, experienced loss, recovered from sickness and surgeries. It’s time to discover what your body needs now.
In this extended weekend retreat the rhythm of your days will simplify.
• walk, sit, stand, lie down.
• sense, think, feel, imagine.
You’ll practice yoga, meditate, talk with each other, and eat delicious meals. You’ll take walks and naps. As you pause and quietly listen, you’ll become curious about what you usually sprint past; like breathing in and out, like what’s in front of you now. You may let yourself wander here.
By replacing the hustle and drive with the opportunity to pause and practice, your creativity is stirred, insights arise. This journey is unique to you, and you’re supported by good company, the land, the forms, and lighthearted play.
You’ll practice:
- sitting and walking meditation.
- restorative and flowing yoga.
- sacred napping.
- lively discussion.
- writing.
- playful moving improvisation.
- periods of silence.
At the end of this retreat at Drala Mountain Center, you’ll have cultivated forms, awareness, and habits of practice that may grow and develop as you move into your days.
This retreat is for mixed levels of experience.
Program Start Date & Time: November 20; 5:30pm
Program End Date & Time: November 23; 12:30pm
Testimonials
“Katharine was wonderful, creating a safe nurturing tone and establishing community among us. She was both teacher/guide and fellow student herself – a powerful connection. She shared herself with us, and in doing so allowed us to share of ourselves.”
“Katharine is as real and honest as it gets. She taught me so much, and my personal Zen practice and understanding of life grew immensely during my time with her.”
