About the Retreat
As summer turns toward autumn, the natural world pauses at a threshold. Day and night come into balance, the aspens begin to glow gold, and the land gathers its harvest before beginning to let go. It’s a powerful time to pause, too.
Join teacher Melissa Lago for a weekend at Drala Mountain Center just before the autumn equinox, blending slow flow yoga and the nourishing practice of Yin Yoga with time in the wildness of the mountains. Through long, gently held postures, breathwork, contemplation, inquiry, and unhurried time on the land, you’ll release deep tension, calm the nervous system, and reflect on what you’re harvesting from this past season and what you’re ready to set down.
Many of us move from summer into fall without ever stopping to notice the shift. We carry the busyness forward, spending more time with screens than with the sky. This weekend offers a different way: to slow down with the season, bring body, mind, and heart back into balance, and reconnect with the simple miracle of being alive.
Whether you have been practicing Yin Yoga for Rest and Renewal with Melissa online or are brand new to Yin Yoga and Slow Flow Yoga, this is a warm invitation to go deeper into the practice of softening and surrender, held by the mountains, the trees, and the company of others in person. No experience needed, only a willingness to slow down and join together in practice.
