About the Program
Join renowned Buddhist teacher, translator, and author Marcia Dechen Wangmo (Marcia Binder Schmidt) for a free online introduction to Practice as Celebration. For more than four decades, Marcia has helped make the wisdom of Tibetan Buddhism accessible to practitioners around the world. As co-founder of the Rangjung Yeshe Institute and Rangjung Yeshe Publications, she has translated and edited more than sixty books on Tibetan Buddhism and has spent years developing retreat centers, study groups, and teaching with warmth, humor, and a deeply human approach to practice.
In this engaging session, Marcia will explore how Buddhist practice can become less about striving to fix ourselves and more about recognizing the innate wisdom, goodness, and awakened qualities already present within us. She will introduce the purpose and symbolism of a sadhana (a traditional practice text), offer a glimpse into the Vajrayana approach to meditation, and share what participants can expect during the Practice as Celebration retreat.
