Getting to Drala Mountain Center
If you have any travel related questions, please email travelservices@dralamountain.org.

Drala Mountain Center (DMC) is tucked away in the beautiful Rocky Mountains, yet still accessible from several nearby cities:

      • Denver – about 2 hours away
      • Boulder – about 2 hours away
      • Fort Collins – about 45 minutes away

Below are the current travel options for reaching us.

Best DIA Transportation Method

If you’re traveling to Drala Mountain Center on your own, the best and most affordable option is to take the Groome Shuttle from Denver International Airport (DIA) to the Harmony Road Transit Center in Fort Collins. The cost is just $29 per person, and from there, you can easily take an Uber or Lyft directly to DMC. This route offers the most convenient and budget-friendly way to get here on your own. The Groome Shuttle does not typically take on-the-day bookings, so please try to schedule in advance.

Rideshare Platforms

If you prefer to arrange your own transportation, here are some general price ranges for booking an Uber or Lyft to Drala Mountain Center. Prices may vary depending on your pickup location, time of day, and demand.

Uber (one way):
• Denver → DMC: $100 – $230
• Boulder → DMC: $150 – $200
• Fort Collins → DMC: $60 – $100

Lyft (one way):
• Denver → DMC: $165 – $545 (highly unlikely to book something. We recommend getting a ride to Fort Collins and then to DMC).
• Boulder → DMC: $145 – $480
• Fort Collins → DMC: $51 – $100

DMC Shuttle Service

We offer roundtrip shuttle transportation to and from Denver International Airport (DIA) for program participants when there is enough interest. All roundtrip shuttles will depart from DIA between 2:00–3:00 pm only. No earlier or later departures are available. This helps ensure everyone arrives together and prevents last-minute delays or stragglers.

      • A minimum of 6 people is required to run a shuttle.
      • The cost is shared among riders and depends on the final headcount.
      • Shuttles are only roundtrip and cannot be used for one-way services unless paying the roundtrip amount.

Estimated Shuttle Pricing (one way):

      • 6–16 people: $30 – $135 per person

If you request a shuttle, our travel manager will follow up to confirm:

      • Whether a shuttle is arranged
      • The final cost
      • Pick-up location

If your program’s shuttle doesn’t receive enough sign-ups, we’ll reach out about 17 days before your retreat begins to let you know. At that time, we’ll provide you with alternative transportation options to help you plan your trip. If you’ve already paid for a shuttle and DMC cancels your program for any reason, you’ll be reimbursed the full amount paid.

To help us reduce last-minute cancellations, a shuttle deposit will be added to your program total when booking — $100 for one person or $200 for two. During registration, you’ll see two shuttle sections: Shuttle Service Option and Shuttle Service Deposit.

  • Shuttle Service Option: Confirm whether you need a shuttle and provide your flight and arrival details.

  • Shuttle Service Deposit: Select the appropriate deposit amount, which will be applied toward your final shuttle cost once the headcount is confirmed.

You may cancel and receive a refund if it’s more than 17 days before your program start date.

⚠️ Please Note: By requesting shuttle service, you authorize DMC to charge your card on file for your remaining portion of the total shuttle cost. Cancellations are only accepted until the shuttle request deadline. After that date, no refunds will be issued, as costs are based on the confirmed headcount.

For full details on shuttle cancellations, credits, and refund policies, please review our Travel Cancellation Policy.
