Patti Stearn
From the moment you meet Patti Sterns, you feel as if you’ve known her for years. With a warm and nurturing presence both in and out of the yoga room, Patti creates a welcoming space where students feel truly seen and supported. Her classes are dynamic and ever-evolving, shaped by her unique ability to read her students and meet them exactly where they are. Patti will challenge you physically while nurturing your soul and spirit with her deep knowledge and passion for all things yoga.
Patti completed her 200-hour certification in 2009 and has since facilitated over 49 teacher trainings. She is an ERYT instructor and Reiki Master dedicated to continually expanding her understanding of yoga and energy healing through workshops, literature, conferences, and her own personal practice. Currently, Patti leads the 200- hour Yoga Teacher Training program at Front Range Community College (FRCC) and teaches an Integrative Health Business class, helping future wellness professionals develop both their practice and entrepreneurial skills.
A Colorado native, Patti has witnessed the growth of Fort Collins since the 1980s. Married for 24 years with three adult children—one a CSU alum and two currently attending—she is also a proud CSU graduate herself, having studied nutrition, philosophy, and graphic design. Her journey into integrative health began over 30 years ago when her oldest son experienced recurring colds, leading her to explore homeopathy and holistic wellness.
While Patti initially pursued pre-med studies, she shifted her focus to graphic design after realizing chemistry wasn’t her passion. She has been an entrepreneur for more than a decade, running a freelance graphic design studio and a jewelry business.
Patti’s connection to Drala Mountain Center is a meaningful part of her spiritual journey—she has visited since before it officially opened, made countless returns over the years, and finds deep peace in circumambulating the stupa. She is beyond excited to now lead a workshop at Drala, blending her lifelong dedication to yoga with the sacred energy of this beloved place.
Today, Patti combines her love of creativity, wellness, and community to inspire and guide others. She encourages her students to listen to their bodies, honoring their own pace while discovering new levels of strength and challenge. Patti is excited to connect with you and help cultivate a supportive space where you can discover and deepen your own passion for integrative health, energy healing, and yoga.
