Lauren’s creative work seeks to fertilize the intersections between fluid identities, queer investigations, and the multi-dimensional contemplation of life and death. Her intention is to play powerfully inside of paradox and living koans, cultivating immersive experiences of deep listening, full feeling, and virtuosic space/time explorations of what it means to be alive. Lauren’s work has been presented in Colorado, New York City, Costa Rica, Mexico and Hungary. She has been on faculty at the Boulder Jazz Dance Workshop, the University of Colorado-Boulder and facilitates dance and movement classes nationally and internationally. Lauren co-founded CULTIVATE with Brooke McNamara and founded FLUX PLAY LAB, creative practice training that engages movement, writing, visual art, conversation and connection to unlock creative artistry and source our fundamental human aliveness. Her wellness offerings center around the therapeutic and creative application of vinyasa yoga, zen practice and a diverse range of somatic and mindfulness training. She lives and creates with her partner Amanda and her kids, Lila, Finlay and Remington.
