David Snyder

Master Photographer | CPP | Award-Winning Landscape & Wildlife Photographer

David Snyder is a Colorado-based photographer whose work celebrates the raw beauty of the American West. Living in Colorado Springs at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, David draws daily inspiration from the dramatic landscapes that surround him. As the founder of Mountain West Photography, he offers viewers a compelling window into the natural world, with a focus on landscapes, wildlife, and the untamed spirit of the Western wilderness.

Holding both the Master Photographer Degree and certification as a Certified Professional Photographer (CPP), David is an award-winning member of Professional Photographers of America. His artistic journey began with black and white film photography and portraiture, but a deep connection with the National Parks and remote desert regions of Utah, Nevada, and Arizona sparked a shift toward capturing the grandeur of nature. His work today reflects that passion—translating the light, texture, and vastness of wild places into powerful visual stories.

Beyond the lens, David brings a diverse and accomplished background. He has worked as a professional photographer, engineer, entrepreneur, small business owner, and as an Executive Vice President for a Fortune 500 company. This unique blend of technical skill, creative vision, and business acumen informs both his photographic work and his leadership in the industry.

David is married and a father of two. Whether chasing golden hour light across alpine meadows or waiting quietly for wildlife in the desert, he remains driven by a singular goal: to reveal the soul of the landscape—and to inspire others to see and protect it.
