About the Retreat

Step away from the steady pull of daily life and arrive in the quiet embrace of the Colorado mountains. Join Heather Lindemann and Cole Schlam for a grounding weekend retreat devoted to the gentle, often forgotten art of slowing down.

Surrounded by fresh mountain air, rustling trees, and wide open sky, our days will unfold with a nourishing rhythm of slow and mindful practices. Together we’ll explore gentle movement practices designed to soothe the nervous system and invite the body back into balance. Meditation, journaling, and simple self-care rituals will deepen the experience, creating space to listen inward and reconnect with what truly sustains you.

Between sessions, enjoy unhurried moments to wander the land, sip tea, breathe deeply, or simply rest. At its heart, this retreat is an invitation: to soften your pace, reconnect with yourself, and return home feeling grounded, restored, and gently renewed.

FAQs

Do I need prior yoga experience?

This retreat is open to all levels. Beginners are welcome, though some basic familiarity with movement-based classes can be helpful. All practices will be gentle and accessible, with options offered so you can move at your own pace.

 What is the pace of the retreat?

The weekend is intentionally slow and spacious. Each day includes yoga and meditation practices, balanced with plenty of free time to rest, enjoy the land, reflect, or connect with others. 

What should I bring?

Comfortable clothing for yoga and relaxation, layers for mountain weather, a journal if you enjoy writing, and anything that helps you feel at ease. Yoga props are typically available, though you are welcome to bring your own mat if preferred. 

Will there be free time?

Yes. The schedule is designed with generous space between sessions so you can rest, walk the trails, read, or simply enjoy the quiet beauty of the mountains.

What style of yoga will we practice?
Practices will include slow flow, yin, restorative yoga, meditation, breathwork, and Yoga Nidra. The emphasis is on slowing down, calming the nervous system, and creating space for deep rest and renewal.

Is this retreat physically demanding?

No. The practices are gentle and supportive, designed to help you unwind rather than push your limits. Participants are always encouraged to listen to their bodies and rest as needed.

6:45-7:30 a.m. – Morning meditation (optional)

Lodging

We have several accommodations to choose from during checkout.
All options include our healthy meals and drinks. Inc V, VG, GF.

Off Land
Participants who wish to commute from home or arrange their own accommodations off-campus (for example, a bed and breakfast, camping nearby)  pay tuition, plus $54/night for meals (3 meals per day) and use of our facilities.

Car Camping
We have 5 primitive parking spots in the Rigden parking lot, for simply parking and sleeping. This includes food and access our bathhouses in Rigden Lodge
Note: We don’t have any water or electric hook ups for RV’s.

Single and Double Tents

Located in campgrounds throughout the property, these 12′ x 14′ tents have two twin beds, two bookcases and a hanging clothes rack.* Each campground offers a shared bathhouse. Summer platform tents are available from late May through early September. A tent can be rented as a single (without a roommate) or a double (with a roommate).

Some of our campgrounds were impacted by a recent wildfire and the affects may still be visible this summer, however, they are safe to use.

Bedding is not provided. Please bring your own twin sheets, blanket or sleeping bag, a pillow and towels.

Dormitories
Rooms with beds for up to 7-8 people. Gender-segregated with men in their own dorm and women in another. The dorms use a shared bathroom down the hall, which is also equipped with shower stalls.

Monk Rooms
A cost-effective option for participants looking for indoor, solitary lodging, but who don’t mind using a shared bathroom or are looking for a more affordable retreat solution. These rooms are in the same hall as the Ridgen Dormitories, but offer more privacy than the dorms. In addition to a bed, bedding, a private room and closet, the monk rooms also have a large window and a desk and desk chair for added comfort.

Single and Double Rooms
The perfect choice for a retreat where you want both your own space and your own bathroom. Each room offers a little more space, a dresser and closet, and a 3/4s bathroom (toilet, sink, and shower, no bathtub) attached to each room.

Junior Suite
Our Lodge Junior Suites include a queen-size bed topped by a cozy comforter, a desk, dresser, closet and private bath with bathtub, plus a sitting area.
