About the Retreat
Something in you already knows her. She’s the vastness you feel in deep meditation, the warmth that rises when you move and breathe, the night sky that holds everything without effort. Yoga’s stories call her Bhuvaneshvari, goddess of the earth and star-spangled sky, “She whose body is the world.” Here we explore her as an archetype: a timeless pattern of the human spirit that lives in every human being, nature and even all objects.
Our lens is the Shakta-Shaiva tradition of non-dual tantra, a philosophy that sees everything as one living, conscious whole and teaches that bliss is who you are at your deepest core. Mantra, the repetition of sacred sound, is a path toward that understanding. We follow the bliss, soaking in meditation like cloth dipped in dye, until the vast and the everyday meet and merge.
Over a weekend in the Colorado mountains, you’ll move through a sacred yoga flow, chant and breathe in a circle of women, and awaken to your own inner bliss. That is Shakti, the living energy of the feminine, rising in you. Whether you’re new to these practices or returning to them, you’re welcome here.
