Quiet Mind, Open Heart: The Body as Refuge

June 14–19, 2026

Meditation & Mindfulness, On Land Retreats, Yoga & Wellness

Program Start Date & Time: June 14th 5:30 pm orientation

Program End Date & Time: June 19th 12:30pm

Come home to yourself.

In a world that often pulls us away from our own inner ground, this retreat invites you to rediscover the body as a place of safety, wisdom, and refuge. The Body as Refuge is a spacious meditation retreat designed to nurture your body, heart, and mind through embodied awareness and gentle healing practices.

Drawing from contemplative wisdom traditions and somatic approaches, we will explore awakening through the body, learning to listen, soften, and trust the body’s innate intelligence. Each day will include guided meditation, yoga, somatic practices, time in nature, and periods of rest and reflection, all held within a warm and supportive community.

Throughout the retreat, you’ll be invited to release striving, honor your inner wisdom, and allow presence to settle naturally in the body. Rather than pushing toward insight, we cultivate refuge, learning to meet our experience with kindness, curiosity, and care.

You will leave feeling grounded, nourished, and more at home in yourself, carrying an embodied sense of refuge that you can return to in daily life.

Testimonials

“I’ve been coming to Quiet Mind, Open Heart retreats for over a decade; they encompass very approachable dharmic teachings.  The teachers are sensitive and accommodating to the students, allowing space for growth and connection, as well as self reflection and silence. They teach that everything on your path, is your path: challenge is opportunity, and vulnerability is strength. I highly recommend this retreat for nourishment and spiritual evolution.” —Dana Wills

“Amidst the majesty of nature, nestled in the warmth of community, I connected with some of the kindest and most generous people I will ever meet. The Quiet Mind, Open Heart” program inspired me to connect with my true purpose with self-compassion. As Marissa Knox said, “The future needs you to be your authentic self.” —Greg M.

Brooke and Kelly have been teaching together for more than a decade, united by a shared commitment to embodied awareness, trauma-informed practice, and compassionate presence. Their collaboration is rooted in deep listening to the subtle wisdom of the body. Together, they create a field of safety, warmth, and spaciousness that allows participants to soften, slow down, and trust their own inner experience. Their teaching styles are distinct yet deeply complementary, weaving meditation, movement, and somatic inquiry into an integrated and relational retreat experience where the body is honored as a place of refuge and healing.
