About this Retreat
Meditation and embodiment are each powerful practices on their own, but there is a synergy, one could even say magic, in combining the two. Meditation and embodiment both arise from the present moment. They both support us to awaken the presence inside. Combining the two gives us multiple avenues into the present moment, more ways to be kind to ourselves, work with our emotions, and heal both body and mind.
In this retreat, we will practice just being—being within our own bodyminds and opening up to each other and the space around us as we want, finding our own individual flow and how it can harmonize with the flow of the universe all around us. The beauty of Drala Mountain Center will support us to go deeper and broader and kinder and fuller.
We will support each other to listen, feel, and awaken the aliveness and presence inside, allow this presence to pulsate out and blend with the beauty of the natural world, the wisdom of the universe. This is a path of kindness and ease, helping each of us access the present moment and to shed patterns of complication and discomfort in our practice of being, each of us finding a flow unique to us. Being with our breath, bodies, emotions, minds, and each other through contemplative practices from Tai Chi, chi gung, yoga, Core Flow, and Embodiment Practice, our bodies will awaken more and more fully and deeply. Sitting meditation will include postural support, embodied meditation, and breath techniques. Transitioning from indoors to outdoors, as well as sitting, standing, lying, and walking, we will mix in periods of mindful inquiry and silence.
We have found that these practices blossom deeply at Drala Mountain Center act deeply and restore us quickly to a depth of well-being and openness that is our birthright.
