About the Retreat
Do you long for a sense of just being? Has your creativity fallen flat? Did you lose your joie de vivre—or everyday delight?
In this eight-week course, you’re welcomed. You breathe out, rest on the floor, pause, and notice your breath. As you’re guided into gentle movement and sitting meditation practice, you may feel a quiet sense of self-respect begin to arise. You’re invited to practice from wherever you may be, no matter what has been happening recently.
Imagine yourself sitting in the center of your room. You place an extra cushion underneath you, open your journal beside you, and jot down a few notes. Your sitting meditation is gently guided. Afterward, you walk about the room or step outside and breathe the air. You talk with your new friends, and afterwards something has shifted. It may feel subtle and internal—a sense of wholeness, connection, and perhaps more ease in your body.
The Art of Meditation means there is leeway. It’s not about perfecting a technique; it’s about you. Think of meditation as something natural and personal—like taking off your shoes at the end of a long day.
