Meditation and Embodiment: Inherent Presence and Peace
May 8–10, 2026
Meditation & Mindfulness, On Land Retreats, Yoga & Wellness
Program Start Date & Time: May 8th at 5:30 pm
Program End Date & Time: May 10th at 12:30 pm
Discover the presence and peace inherent in you, right now! Through kindness and ease, we will utilize a variety of meditative and movement activities to help the new meditator access the present moment, and enable the experienced meditator to shed patterns of complication and discomfort. We will use contemplative practices from Tai Chi, chi gung, yoga, and embodiment. Sitting meditation will include postural support, embodied meditation, and breath release techniques. We will transition from indoors to outdoors, as well as sitting, standing, and moving, each of us finding a flow unique to us and feeling more connected to ourselves and the world. We have found that the peace and beauty of Drala Mountain Center acts to restore us quickly to a depth of well-being and openness that is our birthright.
Who is this retreat for? New meditators and experienced meditators who want to integrate their bodies and minds and find more physical ease in their meditation practice
What will participants get out of this retreat? Beginning meditators will get a good foundation in meditation that is accessible and body-friending. Experienced meditators will have an opportunity to find an embodied approach to meditating that is more physically comfortable and ultimately more wakeful.
