Meditation & Mindfulness, On Land Retreats

At Drala, we are deeply committed to offering inclusive and transformative programs that inspire personal growth, cultivate inner peace, and support meaningful practice. To honor this commitment, we offer tuition-free Foundations Programs such as Foundations of Meditation, Back to the Cushion, and Retreat & Renewal.

Whether you’re brand new to meditation or looking to return to the basics, Foundations of Meditation offers a supportive and accessible entry point into contemplative practice. In the serene natural setting of Drala Mountain Center’s 600-acres of forest land, participants will be guided through the essential principles of mindfulness and awareness meditation, learning simple techniques for calming the mind, working with thoughts and emotions, and cultivating presence in everyday life.

The retreat will also weave in foundational Buddhist teachings to offer context and inspiration for your practice—highlighting meditation’s deeper roots in wisdom, compassion, and self-discovery. Sessions will include guided meditations and teachings, group discussion, and time for reflection in nature.

No previous experience is necessary—just a curiosity about meditation and a willingness to explore the stillness within.
