Social Media and Community Engagement Manager – 2025

Posted on July 3, 2025 by Rhiannin Bunney

Social Media and Community Engagement Manager – Drala Mountain Center

Job Description: June 16, 2025

Set in the Rocky Mountains, DMC is a sanctuary for deep spiritual practice, transformation, and
peace. Here, stillness reveals clarity, nature reflects our own brilliance, and ancient wisdom
takes root in a modern world. Through meditation, community, and land stewardship, Drala
Mountain Center serves to impact the world – one awakened heart at a time.
We are seeking a part-time Social Media & Community Engagement Manager to help us
grow, engage and deepen our online community with clarity, heart, and presence. We’re looking
for someone who brings discernment, creativity, and an appreciation for aesthetic beauty, the
natural world, mindfulness and meaning.

What You’ll Do

● Maintain and manage a multi-platform content calendar (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube,
TikTok, BlueSky)
● Collaborate with staff, teachers, and retreat leaders to source, shape, and schedule
content that reflects Drala’s voice and mission
● Repurpose and optimize existing blog, video, and teaching content for engaging social
posts
● Contribute to and help evolve the overall DMC content strategy, identifying opportunities
for high-impact stories, series, and campaigns that align with marketing objectives
● Engage actively with our online community (responding to DMs, moderating comments,
designing polls and fostering meaningful dialogue)
● Track performance metrics across platforms, identify what’s resonating, and share
actionable insights to optimize engagement
● Thoughtfully steward and elevate aesthetic and brand standards, tone, and voice
consistency across all channels
● Create and design posts across a variety of media and topics

What You Bring

● 3+ years of experience managing multi-platform social media for a brand, nonprofit, or
retreat/hospitality organization
● Alignment with contemplative practice, mindfulness, or the broader wellness movement
● Strong writing skills and the ability to translate complex ideas into accessible, engaging
content
● A discerning eye for visual design and storytelling: you are a straightforward, clear
communicator and strong writer
● Experience with Canva, video editing tools, and light design work (required)
● Familiarity with Meta Business Suite, YouTube Studio, and/or other relevant posting,
management and reporting tools

● Comfort collaborating across teams and working independently with integrity and
accountability
● A values-driven approach to online communication—empathetic, ethical, and grounded

Brand Stewardship: our brand voice is kind, calm, inclusive, and inspiring. We seek to invite, not
sell; and to uplift, not persuade. Our content should reflect the land’s natural beauty, the
teachings’ depth, and the genuine warmth of our community.
