Online Program Support Staff

Job Title: Online Program Support Staff
Location: Remote (Colorado)
Compensation: $20/hour for programs 3+ hours
Hours: Approx. 0-15 hours per week (depending on demand)

About Drala Mountain Center

Drala Mountain Center is a Buddhist retreat center located in Red Feather Lakes, Colorado,
dedicated to fostering personal and collective mindfulness through spiritual and contemplative
practices. Our online programs extend the reach of our mission by providing accessible and
meaningful wisdom and mindfulness courses to participants from all over the world.

Position Summary

We are seeking a part-time Online Program Support Staff member to assist with the facilitation
of our online mindfulness courses/ retreats. This role involves helping to manage Zoom
programs and providing administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of these virtual
sessions. Ideal candidates will have experience with online platforms, an interest in Drala
Mountain Center’s program content, and excellent organizational skills. This position reports to
the Online Programs Manager.

Key Responsibilities

● Assist in supporting online programs and retreats via Zoom, including introducing
presenters, managing breakout rooms and other logistics, and troubleshooting technical
issues.
● Provide technical support to instructors and participants during live sessions.
● Provide administrative support leading up to programs, throughout, and during. Manage
participant communication, attendance records, and other administrative duties related
to program operations.
● Ensure a smooth and professional experience for all participants during online courses.
● Communicate any issues or concerns with program staff to help improve future sessions.
● Flexibility to work varying hours (0-10 per week) depending on program demand.
Qualifications
● Familiarity with Zoom and other virtual meeting platforms.
● Familiarity with Google suite.
● Strong communication and organizational skills.
● Comfort with technology and troubleshooting basic technical issues.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
● Strong and stable internet connection and your own personal computer are required.
● Interest in Drala Mountain Center’s program content (ex. mindfulness and/or Buddhism)
is a plus.
● Public speaking skills are a plus.
● Availability on the weekends

  • We anticipate that most incoming employees and volunteers will be housed indoors. Many of our indoor housing options will require living with one or more staff members in separate bedrooms. Some incoming staff may be housed in canvas tents from early June through early September. Employees are charged $100.00 per month for housing. Do you understand our current housing situation?
  • Your assigned housing may require you to share a gendered bathhouse with other community members and guests. We also have a private gender neutral restroom available for showering. Are you willing to share a gendered bathhouse with curtained showers?
  • Participation in DMC's meal plan is required for all employees who live in DMC-provided housing. The meal plan costs $275.00 per month and typically includes three prepared meals per day, coffee, tea, fruit, and snacks. Meat is offered at some meals. Vegetarian, vegan, and wheat-free options are available at each meal. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate any other dietary needs. Employees and volunteers do not have use of a kitchen for preparing their own meals. Do you understand our meal options?
