Buddhist Path, On Land Retreats, Yoga & Wellness
Program Start Date & Time: April 24th at 5:30 pm
Program End Date & Time: April 26th at 12:30 pm
In this weekend workshop, participants will be introduced to the core principles of Tibetan Yoga’s subtle energetic and movement and breath practices.
Guided by an overview of core principles, James Bae will provide experiential instruction in lujong, or foundational yogic exercises and an introduction to tsalung trulkhor – more advanced methods. An emphasis will be on establishing a deepening breath and awareness practice that can be followed up by daily practice suggestions. Participants will also be introduced to modifications for accessibility as well as trauma-informed/sensitive principles.
In this specialized retreat, we explore ways in which Tibetan Buddhist Yoga – as a somatic, embodied practice – can provide insight and offer profound tools for experiences of anxiety, depression, trauma. James has offered extensive courses, retreats and contemplative psychotherapy education around Tibetan Yoga and trauma healing.
This retreat offers guided practice, didactic and interactive group sessions. Participants gain a fresh look at trauma healing at the intersections of mindbody and contemplative practice, neuroscience and Tibetan Buddhist yoga and Vajrayana. This retreat is suited for all levels of practitioners, as well as caregivers, clinicians, therapists and anyone wishing to learn about self-healing through therapeutic yoga and meditation.
