On Land Retreats, Yoga & Wellness
Program Start Date & Time: 5:30 pm Orientation on April 10th
Program End Date & Time: 12:30 pm on April 12th
Release stress, restore balance, and rediscover your joy through mindful movement, breath, and stillness.
In the serene foothills of Colorado, Return to Joy invites you to pause from the daily grind and immerse yourself in the beauty of nature and community. This weekend retreat offers a space to unwind, reflect, and reconnect with what truly matters.
When you give yourself this time and space, transformation naturally unfolds – you begin to shift from stress and overwhelm to calm, clarity, and renewal. From that stillness, joy arises once again.
As Oscar Wilde says, “To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist.” We invite you to join us this weekend to restore, de-stress and reset so that you remember how to connect to your joy and truly LIVE.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Over the course of the weekend, you’ll enjoy:
- Daily yoga to calm the body and focus the mind
- Guided meditation and breathwork to restore your nervous system and cultivate presence
- Time in nature for reflection, hiking, and grounding
- Community connection with like-minded participants
- Moments of stillness and self-care to replenish your inner reserves
You’ll return home with simple tools to reduce daily stress, live more mindfully, and reconnect with the joy that lives within you.
TYPE OF YOGA/LEVEL:
This retreat features vinyasa (flow-style) yoga combined with gentle movement, meditation, and restorative breath practices.
Sessions are designed for the beginner to average practitioner, and all levels are welcome. You’ll be supported to move at your own pace, whether you’re deepening your practice or returning to the mat after time away.
WHAT TO BRING:
Yoga mats and meditation cushions are provided at Drala Mountain Center. Feel free to bring your own if you prefer. Bring a journal, your water bottle, and travel mug for tea/coffee (optional). Dress for spring in Colorado! Bring comfy clothes and layers for practicing yoga as well as layers and snow boots/hiking boots for hiking and enjoying the surrounding land.
TESTIMONIALS:
“I attended two retreats led by Sasha. I don’t attend yoga regularly and felt nervous about spending a weekend with others with various abilities. Sasha does a remarkable job of helping everyone at their level and offering challenges. The location is really amazing and the group of women you meet opens your eyes to the importance of connection to other women and community. I fell in love the first time and brought my mother the following year. I feel reconnected to myself, nature, and community and highly recommend no matter where you are in the practice of yoga.”
—Sunny Park“I felt rejuvenated and recharged after attending Sasha’s Yama Yoga Retreat! It was the perfect balance of gentle yoga, self reflection and sharing wholesome meals and conversation with like-minded people. It was a true gift to remove myself from my busy work/family life and treat my body and soul – I can’t wait for the next one!”
—Susan Murray“I have had an incredible time at Yama Yoga Retreats. It is a time I reserve for myself every year to focus on health, self care, soaking in nature and being inspired by the women I meet. I love the mix of yoga, outdoor activities, meditation and dancing! I feel my best when I leave and I am always excited to plan a return trip. Sasha is fun, compassionate and a very talented yogini. Her approach fills each retreat with laughter and memories.”
