  • Staying or Living at DMC

  • We anticipate that most incoming employees and volunteers will be housed indoors. Many of our indoor housing options will require living with one or more staff members in separate bedrooms. Some incoming staff may be housed in canvas tents from early June through early September. Employees are charged $100.00 per month for housing. Do you understand our current housing situation?
  • Your assigned housing may require you to share a gendered bathhouse with other community members and guests. We also have a private gender neutral restroom available for showering. Are you willing to share a gendered bathhouse with curtained showers?
  • Participation in DMC's meal plan is required for all employees who live in DMC-provided housing. The meal plan costs $275.00 per month and typically includes three prepared meals per day, coffee, tea, fruit, and snacks. Meat is offered at some meals. Vegetarian, vegan, and wheat-free options are available at each meal. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate any other dietary needs. Employees and volunteers do not have use of a kitchen for preparing their own meals. Do you understand our meal options?
  • To maintain a contemplative environment and to protect native wildlife and plants we generally cannot accommodate pets. Do you understand this policy?
  • Meditation and Other Contemplative Practices

  • Staff Trainings and Policies

  • During the term of your employment or volunteer service, DMC may provide mandatory training sessions on topics including diversity, equity, and inclusion; sexual harassment; and ethical conduct, including those that address personal and societal oppression, power dynamics, and skillful bystander intervention. Do you agree to attend and participate in any mandatory staff training, including those related to the topics listed above?
