A Day at the Great Stupa: Honoring Lineage and Devotion
September 13, 2025
Join us for a special day of practice, community, and celebration centered around the Great Stupa of Dharmakaya at Drala Mountain Center.
Whether you’re a longtime practitioner or newly connecting with the land, this daylong gathering is an opportunity to experience the blessings of the Stupa, receive teachings from esteemed Buddhist teachers, and enjoy the richness of community in a sacred space infused with lineage, devotion, and peace.
Saturday Highlights:
-
Morning Practice at the Great Stupa led by Judith Simmer-Brown, including supplications, circumambulation, meditation, and a Lhasang smoke offering. Judith will share the history, significance, and blessings of stupas and how they invoke peace in the world.
-
Afternoon Teachings & Meditation with Gaylon Ferguson, exploring the formless practices of Mahamudra and Dzogchen, and the power of opening to our direct experience.
-
Evening Fundraiser Banquet at 6:00 pm, bringing the community together in celebration and support of Drala Mountain Center’s mission.
A suggested donation of $54 supports the day’s offerings, including meals and heartfelt teacher gifts, and helps ensure we can continue to host accessible, community-centered events.
