Join us for this special program and allow your aspirations for the New Year to become clear, as you become confident and committed through reflection and renewal. Our gathering will include guided mindfulness-awareness meditation, contemplative practices, and open time to rest and reflect.

On New Year’s Eve we will celebrate with a delicious full-course dinner.  Alcohol will be served at this event.

Note regarding Registration / New Year’s dinner: If you are thinking of attending, you are strongly encouraged to register by December 22nd in order for us to prepare for the incredible meal served for New Year’s.

On the road to Shambhala Mountain Center

Jon Barbieri

Jonathan Barbieri is a senior teacher in the Shambhala Lineage who has taught Buddhist and Shambhala trainings extensively throughout North America for over 30 years. Jon has been engaged in several livelihood pursuits including consulting with cities and counties on workforce development, creating contemplative co-housing communities, and, most recently, teaching Mindfulness programs to public agencies and businesses. He was formerly the Executive Director of Shambhala Mountain Center.

Dhi Good

Dhi Good is a senior teacher in Shambhala, who studied Zen intensively for 10 years. In addition to Shambhala path programs, she teaches mindfulness at work for non-meditators. She earned a masters in Future Studies from University of Houston, and is co-author of Trendbenders: Building Healthy and Vital Communities (2002). Dhi lives in Denver and works as Director of Business Development for Drala Mountain Center.

Program Details

Registration takes place from 2– 5 pm on your program start date. All participants and volunteer staff must check in at our Guest Registration house. Please arrive before 5 pm to check-in and settle into your accommodations. Your program begins with dinner, followed by an orientation. The Guest Registration house closes at 5 pm after which no one is available to provide information or orient you to your accommodations. All programs usually end at 12:30 pm on the program's departure date, followed by lunch. Further specifics regarding your program's schedule will be available upon arrival. If applicable, you will receive an email from the program coordinator in the week prior to your program with any additional information you may need.
