This program has been cancelled.

During this unique weekend, we will explore methods of increasing our own sense of empowerment through environmental awareness. Utilizing physical training and internal practices, participants will come to know and trust the space we occupy in this world.

We will learn the self-defense aspect of this retreat using the HERA Method:
Holistic / Healing
Environmental / Empowering
Realistic / Reparative
Active / Affirming

You will learn threat avoidance and early threat detection, as well as highly effective techniques for evasion, escape, and threat elimination. HERA Method training takes place in a safe, relaxed environment, and includes wisdom circles, fun exercises, and techniques for regulating one’s nervous system under stress. The meditation practices introduced will focus on being present in the moment and cultivating kindness and gentleness towards oneself.

Instructor Maya Fliegel brings a lighthearted and safe approach to physical training, as well as years of experience in the fields of martial arts, personal security, yoga, psychology, and meditation instruction. During this weekend program, Maya will be assisted by Vajra Granelli a professional martial arts instructor, security expert, and an all-around nice guy.
