Teaching Transformation: MDD LREDA Reflects on Article II

Welcome to the MDD LREDA annual retreat, where we come together as religious educators to explore the theme, ‘Teaching Transformation: MDD LREDA Reflects on Article II’ As Unitarian Universalist educators, we play a vital role in guiding our communities through times of growth and transformation. This retreat offers us an opportunity to engage deeply with the proposed changes to Article II of the UUA Bylaws and Rules. Through collaborative interactive workshops, meaningful discussions, creative and spiritual reflection, and plenty of R&R,  we will enjoy community and explore how these changes impact our work as religious educators and how we can inspire our congregations to live out our shared UU values. Join us as we celebrate our calling to nurture faith, embrace change, and shape the future of Unitarian Universalism.Together, we are educators of love, guiding the way toward a brighter and more inclusive UU community.

Transportation

If you’re flying in, you’ll likely land at Denver International Airport (DEN). From there, you can use public transportation or rent a car to get to the Drala Mountain Center.

Public Transportation:

From Denver International Airport, take the A Line Rail to Union Station in Denver: https://www.rtd-denver.com/app/route/A/schedule. The fare is $10.50 for a regional day pass.

From Union Station, take the Bustang North Line to the Fort Collins Downtown Transit Center: https://ridebustang.com/north-line/. The fare for a one-way trip starts at $10.

From the Downtown Transit Center, you can either arrange for a pickup from a fellow attendee or use a taxi or rideshare service (like Uber or Lyft) to reach Drala Mountain Center. The center is approximately 45 minutes away from downtown Fort Collins.

Car Rental:

Alternatively, you can rent a car at Denver International Airport and drive to Drala Mountain Center. The drive is approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes, depending on traffic. Use your preferred GPS or mapping application for the most up-to-date directions.

Please note that public transportation in the Fort Collins area may not be as comprehensive as in Boulder, so having a car or arranging transportation with fellow attendees could be more convenient. MDD will post a rideshare post on our Facebook page, feel free to reach out to us if you don’t use facebook and need help finding a ride.
